Who We Are

We’re a church of imperfect people who genuinely love and care about each other. But the best way to learn about Hope is to experience it on your own!

John McKinzie

Lead Pastor

John McKinzie has been in full-time pastoral ministry for more than 30 years. He is the Lead Pastor of Hope Fellowship with campuses located in Frisco, McKinney, and Prosper, Texas. He has his wife, Melissa, and four kids.
John loves people and always has. His heart for Hope has always been that if people matter to God, then they should matter to us.

Why Hope Exists

We’re about two things at Hope and you can find them both in our mission:
WE ARE INVITING EVERYONE TO FIND JESUS AND HELPING THEM MOVE TO THE CENTER OF GOD’S PURPOSE FOR THEIR LIVES.
Everything we do at Hope serves that purpose or we don’t do it because people matter to God and they matter to us. It’s important to us that every person at Hope who considers themselves a partner in ministry learns to Love People, Connect to Hope, Grow in Community, and Serve Others.

Love People

We believe that people matter to God; and since they matter to God, they matter to us!
We want our love for God to be shown in our love for each other. Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, at Hope, we strive to create a safe environment for all people.
Whoever you are, you are welcome at Hope! If you’re still in the discovery process, we want you to simply come and experience God’s love.

Connect to Hope

We believe that there is so much more to Hope Fellowship than attending a service. In 1 Corinthians 12:27, the Bible says “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you are a part of it.”
Since each of us matter at Hope, we long for you to connect to the mission of Hope Fellowship to invite everyone to find Jesus and help them move to the center of God’s purpose for their lives.

Grow in Community

Ever since the very first church began 2000 years ago, community has been at its core. In Acts 2, the Bible says that “All the believers devoted themselves to the Apostle’s teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”
We believe that model is still important to every believer today.

Serve Others

We believe in an active faith in God and a lifestyle of serving others. Jesus modeled this, as Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Join us as we reach out to others around us through ministry teams, local outreach, and mission trips.
